Cookies are small text files that contain data and are stored on your computer. Cookies are sent to you from the website you visit (so-called first-party cookie) or from another organization that delivers services to the website in question, such as an analysis and statistics company (so-called third-party cookie). There are two types of cookies, one type is called session cookies and the other is called persistent cookie. A session cookie is sent to your computer in order for the web pages to function correctly during your visit. A session cookie is not stored on your computer, but disappears when you close your browser. A persistent cookie, on the other hand, is stored on your computer and enables, for example, a website to recognize your computer's IP address and thus your browser the next time you log in.
